March 22, Kathmandu.

Nepal's current goal is to play ODI World Cup. While Nepal has been playing selection competition for two decades but has not been able to reach the final stage, the non-profit organization 'Strong Nepal', which is running a national campaign against malnutrition, has set an ambitious goal to help Nepal win the World Cup in 2039 BS

Nepali cricket world has been in turmoil after national team all-rounder Paras Khadka along with captain Gyanendra Malla announced the goal of a strong Nepal.

While some saw the goal of winning the title as impossible while struggling to reach the World Cup, others questioned what they were trying to do by bypassing the Nepal

This does not mean that a strong Nepal has set a goal, that CAN should follow now.

A U-19 inter-district cricket tournament is being organized in Lamahi of Dang district under the auspices of Strong Nepal, where players from 12 districts of Lumbini province have competed. The main objective of this competition is to find talents and give them the opportunity to become skilled players.

How did the campaign start?

Bill Gates and his wife Milinda's Charity Foundation, in collaboration with the Chaudhary Foundation, established Strong Nepal as a non-profit organization, which includes Paras Khadka, Swarnim Wagle, Anil Keshari Shah, Annie Choying Dolma and others.

Announcing the 'Strong Nepal Campaign' on 15 November 2076 with the objective of saving the new generation from malnutrition, the organization has made cricket a means to raise awareness about nutrition. Paras said that cricket has been made the theme of Nepali cricket in recent years due to its success at the international level.

When it came to cricket and nutrition, the goal was to become malnutrition-free in 2039 and win the World Cup.

We have started a strong Nepal Cup with the idea that if we move forward by preparing the physical infrastructure, we will become a Test-recognized nation in 10-12 years and dream of winning the World Cup in the next 8-10 years, ”said former captain Paras.

Strong Nepal plans to take this competition, which started from Lumbini province, across the country in a few years.

Why 2039?

Some people have a question, why the goal of winning the World Cup 2039? Why not before or after that?

According to Paras, a former captain and board member of Strong Nepal, the target for 2039 has been set on the basis of nutrition data. That is why we have chosen 2039 based on scientific data including economic growth, "he said." If we win the World Cup before that, it will be even happier. "

Is it possible

ating that Nepal has made a place in the World Cup by playing cricket in the midst of scarcity and has been recognized as an ODI nation, he said, "It

"It simply came to our notice then. Disappointment can also come. "It simply came to our notice then. Is Nepal cricket over? There are moments that come

Agreeing with that, captain Gyanendra says, "Even if we don't win the World Cup in 2039, we will reach it." Even if we can't reach it, we will move forward now. If we can give basic cricket from grassroots level, the number of players will increase. '

But now, if basic knowledge is imparted at the school level, new talent will also come, he said.

Paras recalled that when Sachin Tendulkar made his debut for India, he dreamed that India could defeat any country and that it could bring the country together.

Mentioning that he is the captain of the national team from the inter-school competition, he said, "If we want to build a foundation from now on and if there are inter-school competitions across the country, new talents will come and the team will perform better."

The players of the national team are not ready to talk about this. Some have said, "I have agreed with yes." I don't know right or wrong. "It's not a matter of shouting slogans," said one player, speaking on condition of anonymity.

Spokesperson of the organizing All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) Kiran Rai said that the matter would be linked with the match commissioner rather than the disciplinary committee.

The match commissioner of the final game was Gokul Thapa. He, however, urged not to ask himself about the off-field issue. I don't know much about it. '
