March 24, Kathmandu. Chairman of the CPN (Maoist) Study Center Pushpa Kamal Dahal on a huge Rukum-Rolpa trip. No concrete decision could be taken in the politics of the country which is crossing the 26th Chaitlom border.

More is to look at the political events of the past week, but the relative returns to Kathmandu when any immediate location is found from the Uttara conference.

This is because the root cause of the current political stalemate is the antagonism among parties other than the Maoists, which is not exit-oriented. The indifference of Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba to implement the party's decision to demand the resignation of the Prime Minister and take the initiative to form a new government also confirms that.

However, within the Congress, senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel and former general secretary Krishna Prasad Sitaula are in favor of seeking an alternative to the Oli government like Prachanda. Due to the pressure of Poudel and Sitaula, the Congress had decided to form a new government on April 6.

Prachanda was excited by this decision. Prachanda did not hide his enthusiasm by saying, "National politics has changed and a new government will be formed soon."

It was natural for Prachanda, who has been trying hard to form a new government for a month and a half, to be excited by the decision of the Congress.

After the decision of the Congress, Prachanda returned to Kathmandu, but the motion of no-confidence against the Oli government was a distant dream. Prachanda did not even dare to withdraw support from the government. In other words, there was no progress in Prachanda's attempt to change the Oli government and turn the course of national politics in his favor.

This is our first attempt to find an alternative to the KP Oli government, but the maths of parliament is not helping," said Ganesh Shah, a member of the Maoist centre's standing committee.

Congress president Deuba and a faction within the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) (Mahanta Thakur-Rajendra Mahato) seem to be obstructing Prachanda's wishes. Prachanda's efforts have not been fruitful as they are not ready for an alternative to the Oli government.

A month and a half of confusion

Awakened by the Supreme Court's decision on March 8, UCPN (M) Central Chairman Prachanda has presented three plans with the party ranks: removing Oli from the government, strengthening the organization and increasing cooperation / closeness with like-minded people.

However, so far these three schemes have not been able to move forward. "We are confused by the turmoil in national politics. What to take with the cadres until it is clear above? 'Says Haribol Gajurel, a member of the standing committee. However, he said that some organizational work is being done.

Attempts to remove Oli from the government preceded the resurgence of the Maoist center. Returning from Chitwan the day after the reconstitution of the parliament, Madhav Kumar Nepal (a senior leader of the reinstated CPN-UML) reached the residence of Prachanda Congress president Deuba at Budhanilkantha.

However, Deuba was not ready for the proposal made by Prachanda and Madhav Nepal to lead the new government. Although the former Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) split at that time, the Election Commission did not give legal recognition.

One faction of the CPN (Maoist) was led by Oli and the other by Prachanda-Madhav. Deuba was not ready to lead the new government due to this legal complexity. However, Deuba's reluctance is the same even when the UML and the UCPN (M) are separated.

While the Congress, the Maoist center and the JSP are likely to form a new government. Seeing this possibility, Prachanda's race has not stopped for a month and a half. However, not only within the Congress but also within the party, there are two clear lines about the new government. Deuba's stance and reluctance are in the leaders Thakur and Mahato (former Rajpa).

Dr. Baburam Bhattarai and Upendra Yadav are in favor of finding an alternative to Oli. ‘National politics is suffering the consequences of the Maoists not being decisive. There can be no new decision until the three parties come together, but there is nothing the same within the three parties, 'says Maoist leader Ajmbar Kangmang Rai. He says there is a danger that a new government will not be possible even after withdrawing support.

Legally and practically, the failure to withdraw support from the government even more than a month after the separation of the Maoist center is due to Prachanda's attempt to hold mid-term elections.

Because, after withdrawing support, the Oli government will be in the minority. As the UML has only 121 seats in parliament, Oli will have to take a vote of confidence within 30 days of the UCPN (M) withdrawing its support. In such a situation, if neither party casts a vote of confidence due to the contradiction between the Congress and the JSP, the country is in danger of heading for a mid-term election again.

However, leaders close to Oli have been claiming that Jaspaka Thakur and Mahato will support the government even if it splits. But if the political situation at that level is not created, the country will go to the mid-term elections.

Prachanda does not want to go for the option of withdrawing support to stop this threat. But Maoist leaders say there is growing pressure within the party to withdraw the vote of confidence.

In the name of saving the parliament, the pressure to support Oli has increased. Chairman Comrade is also saying that in public. Therefore, a decision should be taken soon, 'says Shah, a member of the standing committee.

According to one leader, it is not easy for the Maoists, like the Congress and Jaspal, to go to the polls. "Congress has an advantage. However, there is a strong opinion within the party that it is not appropriate to go there without creating an environment for us, 'says a leader.

As the Maoist party structure, which was restored due to the court decision,
